During my summer between Sophomore and Junior year, I met a girl named Avital Isaacs at a writer's camp. We hit it off. We were real good friends. We stayed in touch and promised each other that we'd make "video tours" of our home towns and exchange the DVDs in the mail.

It began as a simple "this is where I'm from" sort of thing. Nothing fancy. But soon we started writing scripts, developing characters, buying costumes...and before we knew it, we were shooting an hour-long super hero musical that would take three years to complete. There's one shot where I step into my old Jetta and a following shot where I step out of my father's Ford sedan. A year had passed and the Jetta was sold.

Most of this is pretty embarrassing stuff (can you even understand half of Sinister Sam's lines?), but I really want to share this nonetheless. Watching it last night I was reminded of how joyful making movies should be.

Part two and three will be posted next week.

The mission (written as though dreamed up by Apple engineers) is dubbed Operation Chokehold, and it’s designed to encourage iPhone owners to use the most data-intensive apps for a full hour starting at 12 p.m. PST on Friday, December, 18, 2009. The ultimate goal being to bring down the network and “send the message to AT&T that we are sick of their substandard network and sick of their abusive comments.”

The false Jobs writes:

“The engineers have asked me to serve as a kind of communications director for their efforts — soliciting ideas on what apps to use (Pandora may not be the best) and how to refine the attack on the network.

If anyone has ideas, use the comment strings. Tell your friends. Get people involved. We have five days to create a movement and plan a major assault. As the Portuguese said during the Obama campaign: Si, se puede.”

We’re not too sure how many people will take this revolt seriously or follow the impostor’s lead. We do know, however, that the blog has an active following and that there are probably enough livid AT&T customers to take part and make a dent in AT&T’s service. Of course, we should not forget that bringing down a network the size of AT&T could have disastrous implications. Still, we’re curious to know what you think of the crusade and whether or not you’re going to participate.

Obama - Nobel Peace Prize

Obama on receiving the Nobel Peace prize ...

"And for my next profoundly peaceful act, I'm going to escalate the war in Afghanistan! Now Now... I know what some of you are thinking... but let me give it to you straight... War IS Peace!"

The whole world breaks out in applause, ready for war on every continent, now that they've been assured by a Nobel Peace prize recipient that war truly is peace (something that seemed a little less believable when monkey boy George Bush said it).

Obama's speech was interrupted for 25 minutes with the audience cheering jubilantly, "war is peace, war is peace, war is peace..."!
